Inofficial release today

June 25th, 2012 No comments

Finally! Everythings finished and uploaded to our distributor Ubetoo.com. So now we’re just waiting for them to put out the music to their co-operators. So the official release, if that concept still exists, will be as soon as the music are available at least from some of the big services, like Spotify and iTunes.

What might suprise some of you is the name of the EP. The initial idea was to name it “The faces are not what they seem”, men we couldn’t come up with a suitable cover. So instead it became yet another of the one colored album names, “The white EP”. Even though it might be the first EP on this theme?

So now we are just waiting until someone make a mockumentry about a band who release an EP with an all black cover, but they call it something like “Smell the finger”. And that a less fictious band use this idea and release an EP called “The black EP”. Which would be their best release for at least 20 years. And finally some witty indie rock’n'roll band enjoy themself by calling their fourth EP “The black and white EP”.

But, what are you waiting for? Listen and enjoy!

Another glimpse of the cord handling genious

June 21st, 2012 2 comments

This sunday I was ironing my skirts. Have a couple of them, so it took a while. But it’s still kind of nice, I got e.g. the time to see 1,5 episode of Game of thrones. But I always quail when I think about putting the flatiron back into the cupboard. This is because I haven’t found out a good way to wind up the cord, which really bothers me. No matter how I tried, it just slips of, as you might guess when you see the shape of the flatiron:

But, when I was about to fill up the flatiron with water for the last two skirts, I got a very bright idea! Can you see it too?

Yepp, just leave the spout open, and you have the most perfect way to wind up the cord!

One might of course reflect about wether it’s normal or not to be so keen about winding up a cord nicely, which you wont see. But I was very satisfied with what I achieved that day.

Rough Diamond release party

June 18th, 2012 No comments

One of the very first posts I did on this site was about my stand-in gig for Rough Diamond, in the autumn 2009. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this, the best description would be to say that it is the best band ever from Upplands Väsby. And keep in mind, artists like Yngwie Malmsteen, Europe and H.E.A.T where born and raised here. Yes, Rough Diamond might not be as famous as those bands, but who cares? If fame was all that counts, Justin Bieber would be the best artist ever.

Anyway, this saturday they had a release party for the first album. They have recorded a couple of EP:s earlier, but this was the first full length album. The party was held at Magasinet, close to the metro station in Upplands Väsby. Nice place, great crew who made tasteful drinks and food.

The main attraction this night was of course the one hour concert. The band have a lot of _really_ great songs, and the performance was as good as you could wish. To sum it up, a true pleasure to attend.

They still haven’t solved the distribution of the album, so right now it can only be ordered directly from their homepage. But it will hopefully be available on Spotify and similar services soon!
